How bad is it to plagiarize a pose? Like if I was drawing some character art for a project and I heavily referenced the pose from someone else's obscure fanart of something completely different, is that immoral and likely to cause me to get called out in the future?
I see game art blatantly copying faces from celebrities even, but I know that doesn't make it OK, even for an amateur like me.

As far as copying things go a pose is probably the least immoral. If you are worried then just use the poses you like as inspiration and change it slightly. This way too you probably will get a pose that matches what you want more exactly too.

when it comes to art, the ends justify the means. do whatever you want. trace/copy/steal. DOing these things makes you a shitty artist but it doesnt mean you'll have shitty art if you do it right.

>plagiarize a pose
There's no such thing. People can't "own a pose".
That picture is awful and looks like its a trace of a metart/femjoy pic from /hr/ or /s/, because she's weirdly standing on her toes like the models do in their pictures.
But yes anon, you can use references. Obviously.
