Your shading is terrible. Everything is either pillow shaded, uses the wrong values or the light source comes from another dimension. That's just for the figures themselves.

Your backgrounds are random and distracting as fuck. It does not add to the image, in fact if it does anything it takes away from it.


I recommend doing still life to get a better grasp on forms and how light and shadow affects the appearance of those forms. Learn about composition and balance.

Focus on making the main part of the image look better and less on throwing flashy effects all over it.

Just need some more direct shit. Like, I can't seem to get dark colors without straight up using black, can't figure out what exactly I'm doing wrong. I mean, I know the concepts, but I can't seem to apply them.

I'd like to add to this. I recommended that you do still life and learn composition. But what i really mean is you need to REALLY FUCKING do that, a lot until your sick of it. Then when you're sick of it, do it some more. Because you're really terrible.
