I need some advice. I just started attending an design program and I want to make a tumblr to start sharing my work. I intend to post my latest art as well as studies and stuff.
Well I also like drawing gay furry shit but I just don't know if I should post it on my account or make a separate alias specifically for it so nobody will make the connection. I'm just thinking about if one of my professors or a potential client finds it or something like that. How do people decide whether to separate the NSFW stuff from their main acc. or just keep it under one alias?
pretty sure you should keep them separate.
A) Think it as a portfolio. Put the kind of stuff you'd want in your portfolio when you go to try and get the job you want.
B) Think of it as a public sketchbook. Put the stuff you'd want to bring to your professor for critique.
You already know the answer to this. Ask yourself: Will this part of my work make people turn away from the rest of my work?

You don't want your professional career linked with the furry fandom

How is this even a question?! KEEP! THEM! SEPARATE! And take every precaution needed to keep your real name away from your furry account.
I actually like gay furry shit and draw it my self, but it's a part of my "portfolio" I'd want to keep as far away from anyone or anything irl as humanly possible! Had I just been drawing regular human-smut, I wouldn't care as much, but furry is a whole other level... It's cringy and slightly assburger in addition to being porn. It just is, don't question it and keep that shit separate!
Thank you fellow anons, I suspected as much but I wasn't totally sure. I know, crazy right?
One more thing; is it necessary to develop an entirely different style or is it enough if I make sure my two accounts are completely separated from each other?
