Hello everyone.
I've been wanting to learn how to tattoo and was wondering if anyone had any tips? I just recently got back into drawing after years of stopping. Here's a couple of my drawing so far that I've done throughout the past 7 months that I've been practicing again. I would love to do portraits on people and what not. If anyone has any tips on tattoing or in drawing in general I would appreciate them. Ty

Tattoo artists usually start out with an apprenticeship. Since you seem to know the basics, I think you have a good starting point. I'd start drawing and branching out into other designs (take a look at shops near yu and their artist's portfolios, get an idea of what kind of work they do generally, and decide what style of tattoo you want to do).
While some of the artists on this show suck, it's how I learned about tattooing and different styles of tattoo, so check out Inkmaster (it's a "reality" show like Project Runway but for tattoo artists. It's kinda cool, I enjoy it, but sometimes the artists are a bit insufferable).
And look around your area for an apprenticeship.
