Sup lads, /fit/ here Is there any demand for muscular male models

It's really anybody who's comfortable with their own body. I've been to a couple life drawing sessions and it ranges from skinny to fat to muscular (of all ages). If you're aesthetic, it's not a preference, but I guess more girls will want to come or some shit.

/ic/ can always use more references. We are in demand for a model. If you don't mind taking requests that is.

Most cities of a decent size will have several life drawing sessions each week. They may be held by universities, local colleges, local community centres, art groups, art schools etc.

Try contacting the people who run them and ask. Either they directly will tell you how to become a model for them or they will point you towards someone who can.

There's no real requirements for being a model other than being willing to get naked. Some places will make their models go through an introductory "lesson" thing where they explain some basic ideas of what makes an interesting pose and how to act professionally, but many places don't bother with that.

I like muscular models, because they teach me how muscles work and where they go under the skin, regardless of how big they are.

I'd always love art models.

It depends on the area you live in but my school is always looking for new models.

Things to know:
-If you move or change position even a slight bit it can throw off an entire pose and EVERYONE in the room will HATE YOU. Sometimes people can be vocal about it whether it's allowed or not (My school has a policy against speaking directly to the models for this reason)

-You have to hold a pose for up to an hour. Some teachers will split it up 30, break, 30, others will keep you going the whole hour (whether on purpose or because they forgot).

-It's not your muscles that will suffer, it's your eyes.
Keep your eyes closed. One day our model didn't show up for my life drawing class so we took turns doing portraits and then a few of us did 30 minute portraits. I completely regretted not closing my eyes. You feel like you're going blind, especially if you're stuck staring at a light or a white wall. Either look at the floor or keep em closed.

Recognize that when standing up you're never trully still, you're constantly having a slight tone in your postural muscles that pulls you in different directions in a subtle pattern. It's better to be aware of and consistent in this pattern rather than to try to fight it.

Eyes open are fine for me personally. I find it helps to locate a spot on the wall or something to fix your eyes on and treat it like a meditation session. I meditate so that helps.

Only beginners get pissy about this. Every model moves to a greater or lesser degree, and if you know what you are doing then drawing one that moves a bit is no issue.

Varies from city to city. Where I live they never go longer than 30 minutes, but some places do 3 hours or more.

Muscles suffer too. I've seen plenty of models fail to hold poses.

There was a model at my atelier that got a raging boner mid pose once. It didn't help that his cock was absolutely enormous too, like big by porn standards even. After the longest 5 minutes of my life was over the teacher said "well... let's have a break" and when we left the model room everyone just exploded with laughter
