Anyone do any colouring books? Im not very artistic, but thought it looked kind of cool and easy to do.
Any suggestions about whats best (easiest) to colour with? And maybe any good books?

I found a lot of elderly including my grandma gravitated towards these types of books, I used to work at Michael's
Fucking hipsters and their stupid "grown up" colouring books.

What form of art do you recommend someone should do?

My buddy bought a coloring book and went around telling everybody "I like to be creative in my spare time". he actually thought it made him artistic. he is below average in coloring these and has never drawn anything by himself.

So does art stop once the drawing is complete and adding colour begins?

Hello, this thread probably wont lead anywhere, OP. You should just abandon ship while you can. I've had some friends who has used copics, but honestly I wouldn't know. That would be too expensive to use on such a "low" hobby imo.

Not that guy, I guess coloring is "artistic" but it's not exactly creative. You're not creating anything.
>>2657411
no, but when a very normal guy with no creativity thinks he is an artist just because he bought a coloring book is kind of funny. it's the context.
They're more art therapy than actual artistic creation.
I don't mind them, but I do get irked when people go around calling themselves artist or 'artistic' for coloring them in. That being said, I do know a few actual artist that take adult coloring books with them on planes or long trips, just to pass the time.

The paper used in a vast majority of adult coloring books are a step above the flimsy newsprint of actual children's books and several, several steps below artist quality paper.
I wouldn't dream of using my promarkers on them, let alone my copics.

no, but a nazi-art colouring book would be pretty neat.

I was included in the mentioned post and I have no idea what moe is and I don't have a thing for manga at all. Nothing has been posted in thread as "art". you're obviously a moron if you consider this art and get butthurt about it.

why are bees so aesthetic
desu i would've thought that some /ic/ people would try to find a way to get their bullshit into making a book like this. seems like any fucking jabroni can get their colouring book published on amazon for example

yep, this. i'm surprised to see how much this fad is getting to mid-aged people. i've also been seeing these same people invest in high end artists colouring materials for the books. i get that it's their money & the point is to do whatever makes you happy, but seeing someone invest in a caran dache luminance full set for adult colouring books just fucks my shit up

there are also watercolour colouring books too, so at least there is some sort of thought when it comes to the construction.
