I recently started drawing (like yesterday) and i'm reading the first loomis book, fun with pencil, and i really have some problems with it, he does those facews who have 10/10 details and proportions (even if cartoony) but mines are utterly terrible, they look like people who managed to survive a nuclear holocaust, and he says not to copy the faces he does!
Now, i want to learn to draw, i don't really want to become the next davinci or anything, just draw something that makes sense and not clusterfuck of bad prortions and indistinguishable objects.
What am i supposed to do? keep drawing abominations? will they really get better if i practice more?

How old are you? It shouldn't be hard to do that unless you're 10.
Anyways, you need to know how to draw lines and circles properly. When drawing them use your arm as the pivot. drawabox.com explains and expands on it in his first lesson. Do the exercises and if you want do the homework.
Also resize your images and fix its rotation.

Just take your time and be patient. You will mess up, a lot but that is how you learn. Also avoid most of the thread here besides the sticky.
