>draw one shitty head sketch every day for a week
>don't see myself improving
>lose all motivation and give up
>go play videogames and shitpost on /v/
>process repeats every month
kill me
change your tactics. don't repeat your mistakes over and over again and expect different results.
you don't need to stop with the vidya, but pace that shit.
what is it you want to do with art? what would you like to do in your future? what inspires you?
if you don't want to work in the arts field, then enjoy your ride.
and if you want to work in the arts field, then also enjoy your ride.
have fun dude

Not gonna make it

just do memes like I do, go with the flow my man
you don't have to be a drawfag to make art
pic related

I will keep dumping my memes until you realize that I am correct

I mean, anyone with a basic concept of photo editing could make what I make, but that doesn't stop it from being art. (plus, most people don't realize how simple it is to throw together 35+ of these Elemental Pepes in 2 days)
>>2641018
You just have to believe in yourself.
waiting for the ban

>being discouraged this early
i love this board, it's like the pleb filter
drop this whole "repeat every month" shit before it makes you even more upset
>>2641023
>implying there isn't a limit to being upset
>>2641021
They can't ban me for trying to be positive, nigger. I am trying to encourage OP to open up his mind to the other forms of art, specifically, the Meme Arts.
>>2641021
Oh, and technically, if there are any mods around, I DID draw this pepe template in paint. Ha, can't ban me now hotpockets!
>>2641030
>>2641004
What would you suggest practicing to become a vidya concept artist?
Quick painting and all the fundamentals?
C'mon OP, just open your "Mind". Ha. Get it? It's Brain Pepe, the Mind Elemental! A memeber of the three Pepes of Humanity, the Mind, the Body, and the Soul!
>>2641038
>>2641039
I already posted Ghost Pepe, the Soul Elemental, so here is Insane Pepe, the Madness Elemental!

Hey now, I bet Japanese Pepe can teach you how to draw anime.
>>2640997
Where do you live?
Well this thread is revolting.
In either case, OP, stop doing drawings from imagination for now. You've probably got a shit mental library and you probably lack the fundamentals to actually depict what's in your head.
Instead, focus on your fundamentals (sticky, etc). Learn perspective, learn how to construct something from basic shapes, and with those two things you have the building blocks that you can use to create anything from imagination. By all means if you like drawing from imagination continue to practice it, but I guarantee you you'll see faster progress if you do some basic exercises as well.
Obviously, though, it's going to take longer than a week. Don't give yourself an excuse to say 'fuck it'. You'll have weeks where you see great improvements and weeks where you backslide.
>>2641046
Why is this thread revolting? Does my art displease you?
>>2641034
anatomy, gesture, perspective, colour theory, rendering, design. study other people's art. study form and train your eye.
also learn to photobash. as a concept artist you need to present results fast. your job is to design and visualize the required tasks. you don't produce a product, but a process. you'll inspire the art director and give a visual guidance to the 3d modelers.
>>2641046
also if you want to create good habits you need to work it into your daily routine.
If you like vidya, make it so you can't play anything until you've drawn for at least 30 minutes. So sure, you can not bother drawing today if you like, but that means no vidya. The earlier you clock that 30 minutes the earlier you can do other stuff.
As time goes on ratchet it up to an hour, two hours, etc.
If there's anything that's fucking vital when it comes to art it's creating a decent routine. Consistency is far, far more important than spurts of motivation. You could draw for 12 hours one day a week and not learn as much as if you drew one hour every day all week.
>>2641052
Well, I guess that means I am a master artist, seeing as I made all of these elemental pepes in the span of 2 days.
>>2641055
>>2641056
Here is the first Pepe Elemental. He was made on a whim, and he started something that even I cannot stop
>>2641056
what a waste of time
>>2641060
Is that your wish? You have to word it more clearly, Frozen Pepe is hard of hearing (he fell into a frozen lake when he was little, can't hear at all out of his right ear). Also, why is my art a waste of time? Please explain to me why your art is superior, scientifically. There is no basis for those remarks
>>2640997
i hate you OP. you think you want to be good at drawing so you merely practice a head sketch every once and a while? you don't have what it takes at all. you're a mere hobbyist. i'm an amateur myself but at least I CARE ENOUGH TO DRAW MORE THAN ONE PICTURE A DAY.
to put it simply: if you haven't been drawing since you were a kid on a regular basis, if you only draw one picture a day, if you would rather play video games than draw, if you don't feel like you're missing a part of yourself when you're not drawing, you lack the natural affinity for art that is necessary for any skill to develop.
If you let your shittiness discourage you, if you ever look at one of your pictures and cannot find a problem with it, if you have to start drawing with bic pens and printer paper because you ran out of sketchbooks, if you don't spend hours watching others draw and studying their techniques before trying it yourself, if you don't read tons of reference manuals or try to draw from life, you lack the discipline needed to learn the skill.
and that's just amateur stuff. if you want to be a proffessional you have to draw when you don't feel like it! when you're uninspired and when it isn't convenient. until your hands hurt the next morning, even then you must always draw. you cannot ever be satisfied.
but you op, you're not satisfied so you give up. you have no passion or discipline or knowledge and it's too late to attain those things. stick to something you actually want to do like being a loser and playing video games you casual
>>2641038
I wish I wasn't so damn stupid.
Hope this works desu!
>>2641074
not OP but ouch
>>2641074
gee buddy
some people like drawing as a hobby
some people dont have the time you have
you need to chill
its great that you are very passionate about art, but some people just are not as autistic about their hobby as you. if its a "i want to do this as a job but i cant bring myself to pracitce" thing then id get why you would be angry
but this is kind of ridiculous dont you think
