Feng is right though. You have to be committed to art. I've given up alcohol and weed because it's just a distraction. Don't give up your entire life, but just trim the fact and make sure you work hard.

Assuming 8 hours every working day = 8 * 5 = 40

PLUS

Assuming 16 hours every weekend = 16 * 2 = 32

EQUALS

40 + 32 = 72

That's 72 hours per week. Times 4, 288. Times 12, 3450.

So yeah, I was roughly off, but I was giving a rough estimate.

Ideal practice day:

Conceptualization -> Preparation -> Execution -> Review -> Accrue Knowledge

Start your day thinking about what you want to accomplish by the end of it. Organize your day's tasks and then start by repeating simple shapes over and over again, to practice endurance and precision. (~30 minutes - 1 hour)

Do your prepared tasks, whatever they might be, and review your work for a bit after each task's session is over. (~3-5 hours)

Put your pencil away, and load up some educational video and learn something new. Whether it's art history, learning another technique, brushing up on fundamentals, or just looking at some pictures for inspiration. (~1-2 hours)

Ideally, you want to work smart, not hard. Make sure you are doing the same tasks often, but also do heel-turns and switch it up radically, that way when you go back to the previous tasks, you can compare past and present work and make out errors more easily.
