Anyone have pictures of men in suits?
Anyone know any beautiful complex village clothing for reference? I tried to find one, but many doesn't have much visual information (only in angle, making it hard to figure the way the clothes works)
So anyone have a good reference? Even better if it have multiple angles

Make her head face the right direction and make it more square-ish, add in more shadows that suggest form. She looks too cute the way you drew her. Draw bigger too.

>>2626632
That ref is bad because the values in it are really flat, but I feel like you could afford to take liberties and push some of these values towards higher contrasts rather than going for 1:1. It would also be a great exercise to make sure you're studying facial construction rather than just copying 2d shapes.
You should soften some of the edges that outline the lips. These tend to be soft, and your upper lip is entirely hard-edged.
Your philtrum is off-center.
These are the major pointers I can see.

>>2628894
Stop tracing.
You have absolutely 0 idea about color or edges, you're making it way too obvious.
Get measuring and sketching first, then shade planes in greyscale. Then you will start understanding color.
Do you guys have any good car references? I'm getting a little bored of figures and I'd like to study some cars or automobiles in general.

>>2641142
Shadow on the nose is inconsistent (doesn't seem to follow the shape of the nose and has too much of a hard edge), highlights on the hair are too saturated and bright all over (only keep it for your two main spots, on either side of the brow line), and you need to abstract your eyebrows and eyelashes a bit (or work from rough to detailed) because they look creepy.
These are the major flaws I see, I actually like how you rendered the skin although it lacks subsurface scattering.

>>2644854
Return to fundamentals, train your measurements and form.
There is no point to push values and rendering if you don't see the fact that his face is an elongated rectangular shape instead of a square shape.
Return to pencil and practice your eye mesurement and your form.
>>2624351
Poor lad, sadly you will never know the feeling of making it
>>2616360
Should I just stop drawing or is there still something to save in that shitty drawing so I continue practicing?
I'm studying Hampton book now but I don't see any progress
>>2644904
Stop trying to go into detail of ribs and such yet.
The biggest problem with all of the earliest beginners is that you misunderstand the core purpose of the exercise, you are not meant to copy it until you somehow know it, at best this will turn you into a human xerox, at worst you will not learn anything for years, both are bad.
What you need to try and do is learn to compare sizes and shapes of the body and everything in general, learn to break down objects and use a visualized grid to see how high this line should be and how low this line should be, etc.
What I prupose to you is to erase this whole drawing and start again without drawing the ribs or the shirt yet, first get her basic blob shape right.
Her body is almost a rectangle, her head is at this straight angle, get this shape right and start breaking it down.
How much of this imaginary rectangle that is around her body does the head occupy? I would say that in length it's short of being a half just about by the half of it's own length, do the same for the height of her head and compare it to the overall rectangle of the body. Try to do this with the whole body and slowly, carefully, taking your time place each and every part in it's place.
The point of this exercises is to mentally let your visual ruler click and once it clicks you can do it innately without having to rely on constant measurements and re-measurements.
>>2644864
Maybe you know, it's just his style.
>>2644904
>>2644913
Try to visualize something like this. When you train your eye to compare the form and size of objects and when your innate feeling of the form is finally developed you suddenly feel that your hand and eye do most of this basic work by themselves even from imagination because you will have seen enough examples and will have memorized how most of the bodies usually look/what their proportions are. Of course once that feeling is developed you need to go into intense anatomy study for human figure and general study for objects and such, but that is the groundwork you need to develop.
>>2644914
I doubt that broke disproportional jaws, asymetric blob heads that don't even resemble the general shape of the picture he is studying and broken form are basis of any style.
>>2644944
Sometimes it can help to draw from reference/model using mostly straight lines. Sort of an angular version of her. It can help judge proportions better and keep you from falling into autopilot or getting caught up in the details. Then you go back in and round off the corners.
>>2644957
Is it better?
Or did I entirely miss the point again?
>>2616280
Am I still shit?
>>2645443
Dammit I forgot the pic.
>>2645444
r8
>>2645446
The lips are too thick and the mouth isn't wide enough. However I think you did a pretty good job capturing the shape of her face and the individual forms of the features. The spacing is just a little off. Also, Try shading the hair more. I'd recommend using charcoal for studies to also pull out better value. But not too bad anon.
>>2624248

>>2626714
Some features are too defined and some not enough... particularly the face and torso
>>2637971
i tried
>>2646627
a decent start, but pay more attention to the face proportions. for example, the chin is waaaay too long in your drawing.
>>2646760
I see what you mean...the chin is way too long, i can't believe i didn't notice. Its funny I can never see these kinds of errors until someone else points them out.
