Does anyone else have trouble when they draw for someone else?
Every thing I've scribbled on paper through out my life so far has been solely for myself. Studies to my favorite characters, everything.

I went to a draw thread once to test my skills but it turned out that I did worse than usual.

How the hell am I suppose to make money now? Is there no hope? Am I forever a hobbyfag?

You're probably just not practicing enough, or are being more critical of this piece. Post your personal work and your work from the drawthread.

it could be both, I do practice everyday though

but sometimes whenever I'm thinking of getting some freelance part time at sites like peopleperhour, I get too worked up and worried if I won't make any progress or if it would slow me down... even though there are some people that are worse than me on the top page.

Yeah I feel the same. Other people's ideas are strangely taxing. Which is why, despite doing porn, I closed down my commissions and focused on making products.

You can always create your own thing like a webcomic and have books, shirts, etc. to sell along with a patreon.

I don't bother with commissions anymore because when people ask and you try to say no as gently as possible, they still get wounded over that. Then when you do draw their badly designed characters, there's always a couple who go full retard over it.

It's not the art that's difficult, it's the bad designs and their creators who are the PITA.

But you'll run into this on the industrial level as well, with non-artist people trying to tell you what they want and you know it's not going to look good but you do it anyway because they want you to.

I'm aware that Imgur.com will stop allowing adult images since 15th of May. I'm taking actions to backup as much data as possible.
