Why is this the default answer when someone talks about brush calibration? So you don't know, is that it? Is that why you chimed in with such saved advice? Like nobody would have ever consider experimenting beforehand hand and after getting frustrated then go somewhere online and ask?
>>
>>2599025
Not him, but it's the default answer because there is no secret to those lines. It's just simply mileage.

pressure setting is set almost exclusively to opacity but not entirely, there is a slight bit of line weight variation. the brush "tip" is also a flat line or square of some sort, the rest is fine tuning pressure curves/min-max percents on settings and maybe throwing some tilt/stroke direction in if that suits the way you lay down lines aka what >>2599010 said. next question
>>
>>2599025
>Like nobody would have ever consider experimenting beforehand hand and after getting frustrated then go somewhere online and ask?

People who ask don't ever really bother experimenting. They want a quick fix and answer to something that's simply a result of experimentation and mileage with mileage being the most important factor. And then faggots like you get cranky when you don't get the answers you want to hear. You're part of the problem with so many digital artists in this day and age.

You don't have the same confidence in your lines or the same understanding of form in 3D space. It has everything to do with your fundamental knowledge and nothing to do with brush settings. There is no quick fix to this. You just have to keep doing studies until you get on his level.

I think it's lazyiness. Using myself as an example. Say I have to do dishes which I hate. Or draw, which has become something I love to, now I have to grind to get back to loving it.

I ended up doing the dishes. Fuck me man... On the bright side, this thread made me experiment with photoshop brushes more, so THANK YOU OP. Indirectly you helped me get something going.
>>
>>2599834
You really are a fucking moron.
>Not ever Photoshop brush has a dedicated blog.
Nor should it. The brushes aren't fucking important. Only amateurs who have no idea what they are doing think which photoshop brushes you use actually matters. They don't. The standard brush is all you need.
>This your fall back excuse when you know you don't have the answer.
The answer is always lack of fundamental knowledge and lack of understand of objects in 3D space. Always. Nothing will cure that other than more observation and more study. There is never any other answer. People are just lazy and want there to be easy quick fix answers and those people ARE lazy and retarded.
>>
>>2599948
A brush turns into a different tool for the job. I would not dismiss it's importance. I of course agree with you.
>>
>hardly looks like they use line weight

Lines that are light, dark, thick or thin fall under line weight.
>>
>>2599948
>The brushes aren't fucking important. Only amateurs who have no idea what they are doing think which photoshop brushes you use actually matters. They don't. The standard brush is all you need.
Wow, just wow! Way to dodge the whole question. Nobody said brushes are overly important. The question was about brush setup. You are a fucking idiot plain and simple.
>>
>>2600098
>Nobody said brushes are overly important.
No one needs to actually say that you dumb fuck. Asking for the brush set-up implies that it's of any importance. As if knowing is going to get you anywhere. It's not. Only amateurs ask those type of questions. There is a reason people ITT have been saying to just experiment and it's because it's nothing but a brush with opacity. It's literally nothing special. The OP even went on to say "hardly looks like they use line weight". That statement alone should give anyone with a functioning brain enough to know OP has no real idea what they are talking about and is very much an amateur. There is CLEAR line weight in every single image he posted of that artist's work and yet OP can't even see that. Special brush settings is the least they need to worry about. It's not even worth asking. The issue is the simple lack of fundamental knowledge in general.

PS:Kill yourself.

use the "Greater" blending mode on your brush, that way the opacity on the canvas won't increase unless the brush's opacity is greater. Pic related is on krita, the blending mode might go by a different name on other programs.

Brush doesn't make you better, but they can help you comfortable, and he coincidentally uses a brush that is very similar to mine and I think its great

Just get hard round brush and squish it (roundness down to ~30%). or get a square brush.

Add any kinda even texture to it.

Add slight pen pressure size. not much at all.

Tie angle jitter (set to 0%) to "initital direction".

Add very slight opacity/flow pen pressure, not much.

And most importantly, turn down the flow from the options bar at the top to ~40%. it makes the texture pop out less and this way your strokes build up on each other nicely.

Optionally add just the tiniest amount of scatter to break the hard

CSP/MS5 has shit tons of pressure curves. This one is "main". You can find it in main menu. And all brushes have individual curves over this one. You can set absolutely crazy stuff. But you need to do some work first. Even "PS style" brush will feels very weird compared to PS because CSP use wacom pressure at full potencial

Shit if thats true then they are on the fast track to becoming an industry standard. I'd be happy asf if adobe gets their shit kicked in by FOSS.

Just in case anyone is wondering the brush he's using, it's literally zedig's brush, maybe he modified the shape of but it's entirely the same otherwise, I've been using it for years.
