Should I watch Vilppu anatomy video lectures before continuing further into the Drawing Manual?
I read the first chapter but I feel like I'm still struggling with the lower body and proportions in general too much to be ready for it.

just go through the drawing manual, draw from ecorches and focus on the big shapes, ignoring the details for now. keep doing gestures and structured figure drawings. you should know when you're ready to start adding anatomy because you'll be comfortable with making figures that look decently proportioned

You need to treat the drawing manual as a textbook and study each subject or chapter with a minimum of 8 hours.
Yes, just 8 hours drawing gestures or constructed box forms, sphere forms etc.
Even if the chapter is literally 2 pages with one paragraph of text like some of his foot/hand/face manuals, the meat and potatoes are in the vilppu manual and using those methods to understand what you're doing.
Don't just copy Vilppu's or anyone else' drawings, what they're doing in front of you is what you need to do for yourself on your own.
That's why you bought the instructions.
The Vilppu video lectures are the 4 hours of lectures while you take notes alongside using the manual and you then need another 4 hours of actually doing things for yourself using the new content until you're both comfortable drawing and
