i grew up drawing sonic characters and anime type shit up till high school till i got embarassed and went to making more realistic stuff. now im in college doing it all. my style is somewhere in between idk

My parents never let me really watch too many western cartoons, only anime. So I learned my basics all wrong, and now I'm trying to fight to be able to do more realistic/western style art by relearning the basics, but my anime beginnings show and mess it all up.

There are very few western tv cartoons who have more realistic anatomy than anime. Usually it's the exact opposite, western tv cartoons are extremely stylized whereis anime tends to only stylize the facial features but keeps everything else semi realistic.

So yeah, anime isn't the reason why you suck, but I guess you have to keep blaming something, because the problem can't possibly be you, right?
