Well, I do agree that people should start exploring more. But when almost everything they get exposed to is weekly shounen then it may be hard at times to get out of that mentality. But I agree. Reading the entirety of a series to appreciate the art and building a visual library is definitely the way to go.

It's a pity comics and manga don't get appreciated when they deserve it, that is true, and I don't really find myself disagreeing with you concerning the creation of opinions based on partial exposure to a minuscule amount of content.

Just because it's not realistic doesn't mean it should be slept on. Comics are about storytelling first and foremost. Can the pages tell a story without you needing the words?

That's the sign of a good comic. If the artist can draw really well then it's just icing on the cake.

I'm not sure what constitutes "good" tears. I've always liked how Satoshi Mizukami conveys characters. So check out the manga hes written.

The manga Mushoku Tensei is similar in that regard too.

By "good" tears" I just mean what you find to be subjectively good. The way I see it, the more folks that show me different artists, the more likely I am to find something I like.
