If you can't stir up your own structure/motivation then take a class. Honestly if you can't be a self-starter and you can't put together the money to pay someone to give you structure and tell you what to do, professional level art probably isn't for you. There's no magical solution out there. There are resources to give you free learning materials/inspiration/goals, but in the end, it's up to you to use them.

No matter what you say to these people its never helpful and they're convinced you're holding back information just to fuck with them.

A couple years ago I spontaneously drew some silly "happy birthday" pictures for 2 friends and put them on Facebook and my other friends are still begging me to do birthday pictures for them and their girlfriends. I have absolutely no desire to do any of them. Fuck, if I knew people would for some reason think they're obligated to my time and effort just because of those 2 original drawings I would have never done them.

Around here both from own experience and observed, people who see a messy style and think it is do to insecurity and not understanding that it is a part of someones approach when they design from imagination. Then the dumbasses demand that it should be "cleaned up" as if they are too good to comment on a sketch when what they want fixed wasn't even what was showed off.
