Of course some are faster than others, depending on experience and comfort with the subject, but I wouldn't worry about it. I'm not naming the place, but I did an internship doing front-end web dev type stuff. I would never call myself a competent programmer; I thought the work I was doing was plodding, slow and trivial, but apparently the entire team really liked me (and two of my friends), so we're returning to work after graduation.
I'd say I have a solid understanding of programming fundamentals but when it comes to actual experience, I just hack around with HTML/CSS/Javascript. And that's basically what I did during the internship: pretty front-end web programming for a module in their massive piece of software.
Maybe it boils down to the company you choose. Culture's nice, food's great, and the pay is more than adequate. Plus, work is never much longer than 45-55 hours unless it's crunch time.

yep it's similar to LAS and there's a description of it on the active challenges page. Main difference is that there is no special token for it. If you miss a day and don't submit anything at all then it'll use your token but if you submit and don't check the topic box then you're out of the topic challenge.

You only ever need to submit one image. The requirement for LAS is "draw for 30 minutes" and the topic challenge's requirement is "draw the topic" so with their powers combined it becomes "draw the topic for 30 minutes."
If people are lazy with their topic submissions then the tribunal will get them. I know, that's why I was reminding him before. If people don't want to vote a day early, even though it changes nothing except allowing everyone to take part in the challenges instead of forcing some people to either not do them or have barely any time to do them, then the least that can be done is people who have to post before the topics get chosen should still be allowed to check the box if their submission relates to the previous topic. Two threads ago the proposed solution was to move the deadline from 00:00 to 22:00 and the naysayers said that would be fine. There was a poll and 70% voted that it should stay at 00:00. Around 45% of the people who submit do so from 22:00-24:00.
Team forza is optional and makes up around 5% of the user base. I can't make a change that will appease them if it means inconveniencing almost half of the community. If you can draw from 22:00 to 00:00 then you can join the 23:30 club instead of being team forza.
The only other solution would be the one suggested in this thread: changing it so we're vote for the topic of the day after tomorrow but that was already shot down because of what it'd do to the ui. You'd have the topic of the day, the topic of tomorrow, the vote for the topic of the day after tomorrow, the topic for the weekly challenge, voting for the topic for the weekly challenge and I just fucking know there will be this one guy campaigning that we should be able to see the next week's topic.
Technical reasons and ui clutter etc aside the biggest reason to not have 2 days of topics up at once: you'd only need to draw every other day. I guarantee there are people in this challenge who only draw every couple days and split up their work into daily submissions. People have already admitted to doing it and even to posting old work.
The topic challenges are the hardcore mode of LAS. There is no token for it so if you miss a day you're out. The tribunal won't require an overwhelming majority and you will have to draw every day.
The current system is an inconvenience for at most 5% of the user base and any would either shift the inconvenience to an even larger group or make it less competitive

Dude I do forza pretty frequently and the current system isn't a problem at all. Most of the time there's a very clear winner, and since you can see the vote percentages you can pretty safely assume what the topic will be. The only time I recall it being too close to be sure was drugs vs anthropomorphic, and I'm assuming that that sort of situation will happen infrequently enough that you can just deal with not getting to forza your topic submission on those days. For instance, even though it isn't official, it's all but certain that strength will be tomorrow's topic, and therefore I already have my strength drawing done. The way it is now is much more simple, if topics were a day early or decided at a different time than the submission deadline, there's higher risk for confusion. At worst, you won't be able to do forza reliably. I doubt 7:00 is the only time of day that you can submit, so there's no reason that you can't just do the topics later in the day if you can't be bothered to look at the vote percentages.
