I wasn't trolling. Just trying to point out the vagueness of the thread description. I could have posted a picture of the Boston philharmonic.
Sad to say I never really "got" concerts. Bad audio quality and acoustics, and 99% of bands never sound as good live even in recordings with good quality mics. I've seen great live performances, but only in concert docs and similar, when you're actually there it's just weak.

ok I'll calm down
>>2736764
edgy, but not really wrong.
That said, watching Freddie Mercury prance about on stage in the actual flesh, even if you were fifty metres from the guy, has exactly ZERO competitors
Queen are the exception that openly trash your statement. I think Bowie might also. Prince.
>>2736796
>well, I think the same but this three people are dead so they are l3gend, amiright? so your statement is wrong and any other musician that plays live that I don't like or know even though we're talking about thousand and thousand of them won't be as good as those three
>>2736764
Way to miss the point of live music. You sound like a fun guy.
>>2736796
Yes, he is really fucking wrong.
>>2736764
>hurr durr audio fidelity is the point
You retards have either never been to a good show, went with the right people or took the right drugs. Ain't that hard nigger.

Anything is fun with drugs. That's the music/movie equivalent of
>this game is really fun with friends
>>2759353
For me it really is about the music. I was going to shows since I was young, before I tried any drugs at all. If the band is really good live they will sound good. I've had my opinions both made and ruined during different bands' live sets. For instance, middle school was all about System of a Down but seeing them at Ozzfest when I was 15 was lame because they just didn't care, and it showed. They broke up a couple years later. On the other hand I've discovered many bands that are awesome live simply because I saw them first before hearing an album. And being really close to people whose work you appreciate while they are in the middle of performing really well is a pretty awesome feeling.
All in all, anyone who does not understand the fundamentals of concerts probably doesn't really like music to begin with, or is just plain agoraphobic. Go outside you nerds.
