I used to like them but since 2009 all their music has sucked, even by my pleb standards. It's like listening to two different bands.

Whenever a Canadian musician becomes remotely successful they get played on the radio all day long because the government literally subsidizes Canadian music.

I used to, not anymore. I often didn't have the discipline to keep my ipod charged so I would end up listening to the radio in my car. I've always had to drive a lot. Nowadays I use an ipod classic connected to the stereo or satellite radio. I haven't been able to get used to the idea of streaming music on a smartphone, I'm too old fashioned.

Still it's hard to completely escape the radio because it's always playing in stores and public buildings.

not him but i didn't exactly care for it the first listen but after a few it has grown on me. there are so many great songs but what really stuck out was U-Turn. Tegan finally making a self-aware song about her histrionic ego ridden songs, which i absolutely loved to death. Sara's BWU was fucking incredible as well. i rank this album higher than Hearththrob at least. they're at least getting better.
