Where were dating and romance created?
What happened to asking the girl across the street to marry you? Or having your parents arrange your marriage? Even in the esteemed Romeo and Juliet they consummated their marriage after only 2 encounters.

Of course everyone living south of the Alps and most nobles didn't give a fuck about what the pope said. The common population north of the Alps seems to have followed this "suggestion"
