the crusaders failed due to logistical problems and the fact that they were fighting in unfamiliar terrain while underfed and poorly supplied, with gear that wasn't suited to the environment

the french got fucked by anglo-welsh longbowmen because of the longbow's unprecedented penetrative power against iron armour (which it didn't really possess against steel), plus the fact that the french feudal knights had no concept of tactics or discipline and (as shown at crecy) just charged straight in like retards as soon as they saw the enemy in almost every case

pike-armed troops rarely actually got kills against cavalry, mainly because squares of pikes were nigh-impossible to charge - what they did do was discourage cavalry troops from attacking head-on, allowing musket-armed or crossbow-armed troops to act with greater impunity, not that pikes have any real relevance to knights anyway, as feudal knights had almost entirely ceased to be a thing by the time pikes were a combat mainstay

Most of those are jousting. The easiest way to tell it is to look at the helmet - if it has absolutely dogshit visibility and requires you to bend over a little to see anything in front of you it's jousting armour.
