Sincere religions.

*tip*
People who convert to Catholicism and Eastern Orthodoxy because of the aesthetic.
People who are upset by them.
Sincere YEC
unironic anarchism.
>>700569
Unironic hierarchical social relations :^)
People who suddenly make a big deal out of being religious because it's in now. I know dozens of hipsters who are now christian and I don't even have to mention /pol/
>>700491
>Is there anything more cringey than "ironic" "religions"?
Yes.
It's more 'cringey' when people like the OP take hilarious ironic jokes like Discordianism seriously.
>>700491
What about those religions people actually believe in? Those are way cringey-er. I mean it's the current fucking year, COME ON.
>>700491
Unironic religions.
>>700491
satanists and neo-pagans(especially when theydance around like shamans)
>>700589

No you don't
TOUCHED BY HIS NOODLY APPENDAGE XDDDD
Women who call themselves Christian yet sleep around and don't pray or attend church. This seems very common.
>>701118
I see nothing contradictory about believing you're a filthy harlot.
Neo-Paganism. Also people who try to revive nearly-dead religions like Zoroastrianism or 'Tengrism'.
In both cases it has nothing to do with actual faith and is usually just some autistic version of nationalism mixed with spite towards Christianity/Islam/civilization.
>>700581
Unironic belief in egalitarianism.

That is pretty cringey. It seems so forced and unnatural. Like they're doing it because they just wanna play the part of this free spirit or something

show me a Protestant church more beautiful than Notre Dame. Protip: you can't.
why is this important you ask? because Churches are the Houses of God, and we are their builders. why make a shack when you can praise God with decades of engineering and artistic skill put forth into one tower of a massive cathedral?
plus, acoustics

Kek, this. Catholicism/Orthodoxy has become just an excuse to play medieval dress up. And by "has become" I mean "always has"
>>705957
well I guess I shouldn't say that last part about believing. We could be mistaken, but that comes down to proving the existence of God, of which if you read any philosopher from Descartes' time (including him) you're bound to find something satisfactory.

This. It's a part of another boring social meme, ironically pretending to believe things just to draw attention to yourself.
>>701140

Really? Most neopagans that are even moderately educated on their subject matter that I've ever met seem to go with it because it fits their conception of divinity.
>>700491
Protestants who get mad about Catholics. Without reading the thread, there are probably two or three in here already.
I can accept the theological differences, but thinking any major Christian denomination's beliefs are stupid and without theological merit shows a total lack of any robust education or desire to learn about your own religion. I feel the same way about Catholics who say things without at least trying to understand why we think that way.
>>700512
kek'd
>>709067
Eh i'll bite.
It's unlikely given the extreme heterodoxy of Christian religion that every belief of a "major Christian denomination" has theological merit.
>>709067
I gave yourself away in that last sentence as a buttmad Catholic. You're most likely the Catholic version of the protestants you say you dislike.
But to be fair, I'm a protestant and I can't stand when other prots say things like "Catholics worship Mary/the saints".
>>709067
>Protostant theology
>merit
Nah. When your entire sect had to start out with cutting out scripture that didn't agree with you, you can be pretty sure that it's without merit.
I mean, here;
>free will
>James 2:24
>Revelations Chapter 12, The Woman is Mary
>Matthew 16:18 + Peters death
>revelations 5:8
Congratulations. That's every major Protostant argument spit roasted.
>>709150
>James 2:24
Oh WOW. I had no idea that "sola fide" had such an obvious rejection from the Bible itself.
Thanks for this nigga
>>709203
I honestly don't know how that one got off the ground really.
Even when Paul talked about it, or was pretty clear that he was talking about initial justification and separation from the Jewish laws when you looked into the context.

Not him, but I can confirm these people exist, some hipsters become so contrarian that they even start acting exaggeratedly against the common hipster, which is almost always apathetic in terms of religion.
And yes it's fucking cringeworthy, it's very easy to tell they don't actually believe in or even understand the nature of their supposed belief and just act as if they did to pertain to a group or feel different.
There's also those guys who really force religious belief upon themselves just because they can't get laid and have to lie themselves into thinking they are voluntarily choosing celibacy.
>>705890
You are literally Pharisees.
>muh tradition
>muh pretty buildings

If anything a modest house of worship shows humility which is what Christianity is about and not some monumental Babylonian faggotry.

Hail Kek!
>>709491
Nah, it just means you're acting liking a sterotypical fedora. And the fact that you think that you're oh so smart that Christians can't even comprehend what you're saying is even more fedora-esque. It's pretty ridiculous to assume that Christians haven't looked into the other side of the argument for themselves or that they don't understand what these arguments are saying. Of course calling someone a fedora is kind of pointless but I don't think it has anything to do with confusion or lack of understanding for the most part. It's more to show that you're acting like an edgelord and kinda silly

I do find the Catholic and Protestant Churches and Cathedrals very aesthetic though. Especially Spanish and French ones.
Religious culture overall has created some beautiful art and architecture. It is important I think to distinguish between positive merits of a belief system and actual belief itself.
