Epictetus is the best philosopher. He should be more popular.

you're the dumb shit because Socrates didn't even write anything down so of course nothing survived.

Most of the presocratics were better than aristotle or plato.

Heavier objects fall faster than lighter ones.

If you dropped two objects the same shape and size, but differing in mass from the tallest building in the world, the heavier one would fall faster.

If you dropped a rock in a vacuum, then repeated the experiment with a rock a quadrillion times bigger from the same height, the heavier rock would hit the round more quickly.

If you had two identical objects, both dropped in vacuums, the same height from the ground, the heavier object would fall faster.

Aristotle was right.

The void is a meme. That doesn't mean heavier objects (all things being equal except what makes them heavier) fall faster than lighter objects in the void.

How, and experiment where the feather starts lower, and does not meet any of the conditions. Wow, you are so smart.
>>
>>386553

>How,

Take vacuum chamber, a bowling ball and a feather. Hang them from the same height, drop them. Observe they hit the ground at the same time

>and experiment where the feather starts lower,

Irrelevant, they start at the same point. The bowling ball does not accelerate beyond the feather. Either we've discovered feathers that weigh as much as bowling balls, or you're full of shit

>and does not meet any of the conditions

It meets literally all of them.

Conclusion: you're an idiot. QED
>>
>>386575
>It meets literally all of them.
Nope

>If you dropped two objects the same shape and size
Nope

>a rock a quadrillion times bigger
Nope

>If you had two identical objects
Nope

Try again
>>
>>386597

>differing in mass

No, sorry, they do
>>
>>385434
>If you had two identical objects, both dropped in vacuums, the same height from the ground, the heavier object would fall faster.

Nigga what?
>>
>>386605
It's a true statement. You should be able to solve it.

>>386604
Nope. It meets the conditions for none of the scenarios.
>>
>>386613

Shape and size are completely irrelevant when it comes to gravity. All gravity cares about is mass. In this experiment, the mass differs. The air is taken away, so there's nothing to stop the feather from falling as fast as the bowling. The two objects are suspended at the same height, dropped at tge same time and hit the ground at the same time.

You can keep denying this, but the only thing people will do is laugh long snd hard at you. You're wrong. Deal with it

The two objects would have to be on different planets, is that it?
>>
>>384056
Fuck you.
>>
>>386622
Please explain which scenario your example fulfills.

>>386636
Ergo, for two identical objects, the heavier one falls faster than the lighter one.
>>
>>386716
>Ergo, for two identical objects, the heavier one falls faster than the lighter one
This, however, does not vindicate Aristotle, as his concept of weight wasn'ta function of mass and gravity, since he didn't know what gravity is and believed that things fell to the center of the earth because it was the center of the universe.
>>
>>384056
What if aristotle, Socrates or Plato are your favorite philosopher?
>>
>>386742
This particular shitposter seems to be of the opinion that there are very specific cases in which Aristotle's conclusions are accurate if you ignore the physics of the items and focus exclusively on their interactions, therefore all his conclusions within his own framework were accurate, therefore if you dismiss any of Aristotle's conclusions you must be ignorant.
