What is your opinion on Beria's diaries?

if this is true, then this man was very different from I thought he was

Interesting. Always with such stuff the question is whether it's authentic.
As for Stalin, from what I've read it's pretty clear that he was no robot. He liked to go on trips out to the country and get drunk and tell old stories and dirty jokes and so on. He certainly had a human side. But at the same time, he was a ruthless paranoid totalitarian dictator.

Maybe he wrote diaries this "innocent" way in case he was arrested so Stalin may read them and forgive him for his loyalty, since a man wouldn't lie in his diaries, keep in mind that Beria was an exceptional intelligence talent and could guess anybody's thinking including Stalin and that's how he survived all these years
>>3391602
your theory seems pretty spot on
>>3391602
>implying Beria wouldn't faux worship Stalin in his diaries as an alibi should he ever get arrested so he can use them as proof of his loyalty for Stalin
