Probably not. Instead of getting an insane and incompetent despotism over all of china, you get an insane and incompetent weak state that tries to but can't reign in a bunch of warlords, and who will almost ensure another round of civil war breaks out when they inevitably weaken.

Yes part of why they lost was the KMT used the warlords to try and bleed out the commies so they could kill two birds with one stone. Turns out the warlords just fled, turned sides and abandoned all their equipment and started a route/panic they were unable to recover from. Plus the mainline KMT were exhausted from WW2 remind any arrogant Chinese that the communists did pretty much nothing to stop the Japanese and even conspired to attack the KMT during the war. They cared not for China just power.
