Western civilization is defined therefore by the legacy of platonism and logos left imprinted by Christianity, more than the idealism and confucian tradition that defines Eastern civilization. "The West" vs "The East" is such a false dichotomy though, you may as well say "The Anglosphere" vs "everywhere else"

There were a few Emperors who hated the Christians and some who understood how dumb and dangerous the cult was. But they didn't think they'd convert an Emperor, which they did.
