Its no surprise that the top dog of a war comes out on top after, its what you do with that that which defines success.

Germany and Japan's economies were destroyed but starting from scratch meant that they ended up making the best consumer products in a better way.

The post war German economic model is actually a shining example of prolonged success, workers rights, education system, etc. It couldn't have happened that way if they'd have won the war.

Americans after the conquest of Germany unironically abolished like several hundred German patents and promptly repatented them in America. German companies lost billions of dollars in revenue because of this. Americans and Brits bombed half of Europe into the stone age and then offered to "rebuild" it which made the profits of American industrial companies, and subsequent American standard of living skyrocket. Thankfully this paper tiger of a golden age built on shameless parasitism only lasted for about 20 years before America plunged back into shit and once again became a giant ghetto.

Potentially not, I feel that the British and the Soviets would have been more likely to work together in a way that the Soviets and the Americans never could, might not have had such cold war tension and might have had more Yugoslavia style independent states.
