Does anyone have a source on what the weather was like in the Soviet Union in April-May of 1941 and how it would effect combat operations? Whenever someone says that Barbarossa should have been done in the spring people usually respond with rain and mud keeping that from being possible, but I haven't found anything detailing the weather at the time.

Germany didn't get bogged down in the snow. They were stopped long before winter and suffered their worst casualties in good weather.
