How accurate are these games? I own most of them and love them, but I always win as the Axis.

Looks like some version of a board game called axis and allies.

It's probably some kind of wargame. These games were invented in 19th century Prussia to train officers.

Axis and Allies, looks a bit like the edition I have which is the Anniversary Edition. Haven't kept track of ongoing editions since though

Not very, even by wargame standards. Axis and Allies is one small step up from Risk.

Oops, totally didn't see France. Could be worth getting, though I dislike how on the rails the game seems after a while
>>3296892
Is it currently available?
>>3296965
You should note that it's a ~$120 purchase for both games.
Also, don't set it up unless you are willing to put more than twelve hours into it.
>>3296986
Ah oops, thought you meant it was single box.
>>3296985
Yep, both theatres are available in their second edition forms.

In Axis and Allies the basic idea is that the Axis are meant to have more beginning game power and the Allies have more longterm production. This game seems to have the french and the Chinese which is interesting. Its rather accurate, but the right moves with the Axis at the beginning can win the game.

The biggest mistake I find that Allied players make is that they try to be too aggressive at the start of the game and exhaust themselves while the Axis still have a lot of troops left.
I've played countless games where the Soviet Union has thrown everything at the Germans as soon as they declare war, and practically nothing to defend their factories afterwards.
