Why do mainstream muslims hate sufis? Whenever I ask a mainstream

I think you are getting mixed up with salafi, sufis are an ancient mystic sect where they use cannabis in some rituals while salafi and whabbi are extremists imported from Saudi Arabia

Well they hate Sufis for 2 reasons.

Sufis think that music is a pathway to greater knowledge of the Divine, which is considered idol worship by many other muslim sects.

Sufis also have a tendency to esotericism and mysticism, to which other muslim sects use the passage of the Hadith where Muhammad says that monasticism and asceticism is wrong, against them.

Heard nobody say anything bad about sufis desu.
