Why were the Canadian so useless in WW2 despite performing admirably in WW1?
>>
Canadians did fine in both wars.
>>
>>3258408
What makes you think they were useless?
>>
>>3258421
Because Dieppe is the only thing involving Canadians in WW2 he's ever heard of, and it went badly; that's my guess anyway.

Because the spiritual venom of continued refusal of accepting Louis David Riel, Prophet to the North-West,
into their heart as their Lord and Savior had weakened their minds and bodies by the time the Seconde Guerre mondiale rolled around.

>fought some very minor battles in Italy
>took the easiest beach on D-Day
>then got rekt by a bunch of 16 year old hiter youth
>liberated the netherlands but the Germans were already defeated by that point, only resistance was shit tier volkssturm

A minor role which could've easily been replaced, a single American or British division would've made a larger impact. Meanwhile in WW1 they were easily the best allied troops and saved the western front from collapsing multiple times.

Which had nothing to do with Canadian performance, and many valuable lessons were learned the hard way that were instrumental in the success of later landing operations.

>Canadian ships make up a large chunk of convoy escorts (Canada finishes the war with the world's 3rd largest navy behind the US and UK)
>the Devil's Brigade
>Aerodrome of Democracy
>Canada gets their own beach on D-Day
>at the end of the first day Canadians despite having the second-toughest beach after Omaha are the farthermost inland
>a Canadian tank took out the infamous Michael Wittmann and his Tiger
>the Scheldt campaign
>Netherlands are forever grateful to Canada for liberation from occupation and starvation

Canadian military contributions have consistently been all out of proportion to numbers of men serving under arms, there just isn't a massive Hollywood apparatus constantly churning out glorifying media about their achievements.

>got destroyed at dieppe, wasn't their fault though
Correct

>fought some very minor battles in Italy

>sustained over 26,000 casualties
>Canada's longest campaign of the war
>Ortona
>minor battles

>took the easiest beach on D-Day
You don't even know what you're talking about at this point.

>then got rekt by a bunch of 16 year old hiter youth

>citation needed

>liberated the netherlands but the Germans were already defeated by that point, only resistance was shit tier volkssturm

Whether or not this an accurate assessment, Canada not only liberated the country but conducted a massive relief effort as the retreating Germans had stripped the country of everything they could carry, the Dutch were starving to death.

I don't understand why you feel Canada under-performed in WW2.

You mean the second most heavily defended beach after Omaha?
>then got rekt by a bunch of 16 year old hitler youth
You mean some of the most experienced and best trained SS units the Germans could field?
>>
>>3258487
>SS Division Hitlerjugend loses 80% of men and 80% of tanks and other armoured vehicles in poorly thought out attacks where they refused to flank anything

Tbh if you'ren't either American or Russian your country either got beaten up by them (Axis) or was an useless hanger-on (UK, Canada, Australia, France, Netherlands, China, etc.).
