It's a poor man's Boardwalk Empire. I mean I don't hate it, but I literally only watched all of the seasons due to Boardwalk withdrawal. Also I have a funny story about this show

The accents are thick but honestly they just kinda sound like less drugged out Ozzy Osbournes. I'm an Amerifat and I can follow along without any trouble. I think the dialogue is cheesy at times mostly due to forced exposition, but it's also entertaining at times.

Oh no, that opinion exists. It's objectively wrong by all standards though. If you honestly think Boardwalk didn't have exceptional acting, writing, atmosphere, music, etc. then you don't fully understand what you're talking about. It's like looking at the Sistine Chapel and calling it gaudy. It's an opinion but you're still a fucking idiot for expressing it.

The protagonist lacks nearly all personality.
