There was a study done in Tunisia and the oldest unique haplogroups found however is squarely Sub-Saharan.

Depends on your definition of Berber, all the Berber languages derive from a bottle of a likely prestige dialect. It seems over the past 2-3kys the languages of Berber dominated which possibly could also mean a dispersal of coastal berbers inland.
