Can you do a pure act of goodness? Or is it all just in the service of your own ego?

Sure but you will feel awful when you do it.
>>3239813
You're overthinking it, what matters is that we do good

>not in service of your own ego

you're doing it wrong then
Why should good action magically be more admirable if it's explicitly to your disadvantage?

except having kids is inherently in service of your own ego and a selfish action

>goodness
>pure
For me the ony thing that is a pure act is what is done in service of my own ego. the only good thing is what benefits me. "goodness" is merely a spook, a subjective, metaphysical idea.
Just because it's in service of your own ego does not mean it's selfish, or somehow, not altruistic.
Those things are not mutually exclusive.
