Slavic natives were illiterate when Christianity invaded - hence their mythologies were virtually completely wiped out. Greek and Roman myths have persisted as a cultural subtext so long because they were the most copious writers of the pagans.

Except rituals and traditions survived in Christian rites like Easter and Christmas.
