Did you know that Turkey made a movie recently about the fall of Constantinople in 1453? It's something that Hollywood has never made a movie out of.

>portraying Constantine XI as a hedonistic tyrant when the real guy was famously chaste and agreeable
What did the Turks mean by this?
>>3229910
It's probably filled with Turk propaganda and acts of evil by duh G*eeks
>>3229918
Well he was a shitty leader no doubt, look at how rekt Byzantine Empire was by then
>>3229945
>Inherit an empire on the brink of collapse
>Somehow his fault
What did you mean by this?
>>3229910
As an Ottomanboo, I've seen it and I find it shit. Too much propaganda
>>3229910
It seems like a strange thing to glorify, as impressive as it is.
Like in British history, the Anglo-Saxons are the bad guys, King Arthur and the Britons are the good guys, then the Anglo-Saxons are the good guys, then the Vikings and Normans are the bad guys, then the Normans are the good guys and the French are the bad guys.
But in Turkish history, the Turks are the invader yet still the good guys.

Christians come out of Constantinople kill and murder and run back inside.
Christians come out of Europe kill and murder and run back inside.
I wonder what falls next
>>3230412
The Middle East as a whole, if it could fall any further.
No one removes kebab as well as kebab can.
As a turk i would suggest to anyone be careful reading/watching any *historical* material made by us. Turks are people who are follow emotions rather than logic. Honestly I spent my whole life thinking how Devshirm system was pretty good deal for Christians and Christians actually wanted their children to be taken. Propaganda is spooky.
>>3230412
>Christians
Yeah, because there is only one kind of Christian and if one branch of Christianity does one thing all of them done diddely done it. You're a dumb ass guy aren't you?
