Why do so many serial killers look like nerds that are more likely

Physiognomy is real. Not only is certain facial morphology indicative of inherent character traits of the person expressing them, but it is a two way street as well, as a person's external appearance also wholly shapes their inner shapes their inner world view.

Nerds think like nerds because they look like nerds and nerds look like nerds because they think like nerds.

Ir was the 70s. Back then glasses weren't fashionable. If you write glasses you were automatically considered a nerd. My grandma used to be told by her mother "if you wear glasses you'll never get married". Nowadays any trendy hipster wears glasses even if they don't even need them at all.
