why did cavemen use flint for weapons and where did they find it? weren't normal rocks cool enough for them?
They were retarded obviously.

you´re going to find out soon, in fact you´ll be making flints yourself

Ok I'll give you some information: flint is sharp.

thx
Flint could be shaped to make pointy spear tips and such. I'm pretty sure they found it near streams or things like that.

It is difficult to make anything useful out of the typical rock. Flint can be broken into useful, sharp items.
Flint and chert is far easier to break, particularly in predictable flakes. If you ever find a chunk of flint/chert then grab some granite or riverstones and try smacking both with another rock, you'll immediately see the difference.

Flint is also good for making fires in an age before kerosene, matches, etc.
Same reason we use a lot of Slate(shifer) to decorate surfacesm such as entryways for houses: Predictable shapes when you work on it.
Also the same reason Obsidian is used where its found: Its really nice for razor sharp weapons
rocks are rocks! what are you guys rock scientists or something!
