There is this kind of feminism that is utterly capitalistic and consumerist, where their concern is making more money, making more money than men, etc. They think that money is everything and whatever gets in the way of their money is an enemy. So, they shun family life and so on. Some, even abandon femininity in order to become richer.

It's not a matter of 'need' or not. There's a massive wealth of material that furnishes the idea of the 'restless acquisitive' attitudes of Americans from the 18th to the 20th century. Americans were chided by domestic & foreign intellectuals alike for their seemingly myopic materialistic drive. How are those attitudes you're describing in certain ferminists, not just a female counterpart to ideas that had long been accepted by American men.
