Were Great Helms ever used with later medieval plate armor? I'm looking through the replica armor that's being sold on eBay and they have all these great helms fitted with plate armor. Isn't this historically inaccurate?

Also are there any historical examples of great helms ever being used with plate armor? I don't know much about knight armor but I started watching some documentaries recently and it's started to stick out badly that this isn't right.
No. Great helms pop up and disappear very quickly. They bad moved on to sugarloafs and early bascinets by the time what most people think if as "plate armour" becomes common.

So this armor would be more historically accurate with something else, like this helmet instead?

They definitely wouldn't have been worn with a full suit of armor, maybe some small individual plate pieces that were just starting to come into use as the greathelm was fading away

That helmet is inaccurate by itself, real barbutes didn't have visors.

What would be the best choice for me then? It's the cheapest replica armor I can get for my budget and I want it to look accurate.

What time period are you interested in?
If you are going for a 14th or 15th century full plate armor like in the pictures you sent, you would go for a sallet or a bascinet.

Just whatever works with this plate armor, so different types of helmets would be fine as I plan on getting more than one. I found a seller who is willing to sell them to me at $350 if I buy at least 4. I plan on decorating my whole garden and livingroom with knights.
