Is there anything you can do with a history degree (other than teaching) WITHOUT going to law school or grad school?

Depends on where you live. In Britain you can apply for most grad schemes even at the big 4 accounting firms, I imagine its similar in other parts of Europe. Unsure about America.

Honestly, a lot of comm and marketing jobs are open to people of just about any liberal arts major, especially if you already have some type of relevant job or volunteer experience in that area. Employers for these kinds of jobs are really just looking for people with good writing skills, strong communications abilities, and that ability to think critically, and in that regard they look at degrees like Communications, Marketing, History, Philosophy, etc. as somewhat interchangeable.
