What if Jesus wasn't the perfect, sinless man the NT makes him out to be, and actually had a dark side the Church doesn't want you to know about?

Then mankind has no hope, and the resurrection was a lie.

He was a stone-cold CUNT. He threw an autistic shitfit when he saw the moneylenders at the Temple, he cursed a fig tree for not bearing fruit IN THE MIDDLE OF WINTER, he drove some demons into the bodies of poor innocent piggos and drove said piggos to their deaths off of a cliff, and of course he promised to burn his enemies in a firey pit FOREVER.

The gospels portray those things as good.

Flipping the table against the moneylenders, the moneychangers is righteous anger.

>borrow money
>give amount you owe back
>REEE GOD DAMN JEWS STEALING MY MONEY
I've always thought the story of the woman anointing him with oil showed a darker side. He acts like a hypocrite, and when his disciples call him out, his answer is basically that he deserves nice things. It might not sound that bad, but it makes Jesus look bad enough that a surprising amount of effort has been put forward to explain it away. Theologians have come up with various answers to make this passage seem acceptable, but they all kind of come up short, especially if you read the passages with the mindset that Jesus was probably just a normal person.

They were missing the point of the temple. It's a holy temple meant for the house of God. They were selling and cheating their buyers. These were high priests doing that which is why Jesus was angry that them. They were a den of robbers. That was righteous indignation.

Of course they did, it also portrayed Yaweh genociding whole nations as good. Christians, Jews, and Muslims are moral imbeciles.

>DURR except when he's angry, then he's justice :^)
>HERP except when he's burning unbaptised babies in hellfire forever, then he's love again :^)
>DERP you better believe God is love or its the firey pit for you :^)
Do you think there are some ancient docs within the Vatican archives or some cave in the Middle East with real dirt on Jesus and/or his apostles?

Think of it this way. You're a Jew, you have to go to Jerusalem for Passover, you and your family travel 100 miles with your little lamb to be sacrificed.
When you finally get to the front of the line, the head Jew looks at your lamb and says "not good enough. But my cousin Schlomo here, he sells lambs and you can buy one from him."
You note Schlomo charges 10 times what the lamb is worth, but what are you going to do? Your family depends on that sacrifice being done correctly.
They did the same with people bringing in foreign money to offer as tithes; instead of, say, a 10:1 exchange they only gave the visitor a 7:1 exchange. Because the gold that goes into the temple has to be blessed, you see.
They had turned the House of Prayer into a Den of Thieves, and Jesus let them know how little He appreciated it.
