No. We have LARPers and people generally don't give a shit what you profess to believe in as long as you pay your taxes and don't cause a disturbance. But all of Scandinavia has been Christian for over a thousand years, if we were to move away from secularity, certainly it would be to Christianity, and not to paganism.

As for the history, just check wikipedia.
