Saying we don't know how it was made isn't an argument for it being authentic, it's an argument that we don't know how it was made (god in the gaps fallacy). The carbon dating was performed well and is conclusive.

Nazis are often totally ignorant of the ideology of the past, they barely know the best monarchs. No wonder they will think that Hitler did anything worthy of being saved.
