I still don't understand why Britons are "important" to history. It's not like they're special or anything.

I live in Latin America, the european section in our libraries (god forbid the average beaner knows what one is) is overwhelming about Spain(with considerable greco-roman we wuzzism and other latin euro wewuzzism)
We are literally a spanish colony, only makes sense we care about our ancestors'(even if, for some, they are our predecessors merely in culture)
