It's not the misery. I think the Vietnam War was disgusting and I was repulsed by the actions of the Americans, both depicted in the film and in real life. It's the shock. It's having something you know is morally wrong and taking it to a ridiculous extreme. In this case, it manifests itself as Muppets getting napalmed
