>muh Knights on horseback
Why is it that when average retards LARP about historic times they always consider themselves part of the upper crust? It's very likely that their ancestors were serfs, if not slaves altogether. The best they could hope for is for them to be poor freemen.
You wouldn't have been allowed to be a knight even if you were rich, because you literally needed blue blood. Yet everyone is LARPing as the guys who in all likelihood oppressed their actual ancestors.
BTW the few people of noble blood still make a bit deal out of it today. I know it's wrong to judge history by today's standards but those people weren't exactly kind to those they considered beneath them.

It leaves a bad taste in my mouth. It's like black people LARPing as rich plantation owners and holy shit if that analogy doesn't work perfectly in this case.

>to be poor freemen.
Pays to be Swiss then, the knights kryptonite.

This, both because Money and Pikes. Switzerland is best land.

I mean, I'm an immigrant but its disappointing when I want to talk to Anglo Australians about cool medieval shit
>why would people rather pretend to be a badass knight than a dirt farmer
The mind boggles. While we're at it, why are almost all video games, movies, books, etc from the perspective of a hero instead of some unimportant side character?

Because nobody wants to play Call of Duty: Waiting for Godot.

My ancestors were irish and Scottish.
While I enjoy chivalric romance, I entertain no delusions about the capacity in which my ancestors were most likely used by the perfidious albion.

You don't even understand how ancestry works on a basic level, your IQ must be very low
>>3099747
My ancestors were of the noble class, it makes no difference to me.
I think it's just typical fantasizing by overwhelmingly average people.

I'd play it.
