Pol doesn't claim that. They claim Jews financed Germany's defeat.

In truth, France and Germany were grinding each other to bloody stubs for years, and France had already suffered a major mutiny on the front. Germany, knee-capped by Britain's consistent blockade of the North Sea since the war started, had gone all years of the war enduring terrible food and material shortages worse than most. To put it in perspective, even church relics were being requisitioned as scrap for the dwindling supplies of the war effort. It came to a head with large riots (after the worker's riots in Russia, which led to the closing of the eastern front) demanding capitulation and expressing general outrage against the Kaiser. The Kaiser ordered all dissidents shot, and the army refused. A palace coup ensued which led to an armistice, which led to the abdication of the Kaiser, and the the treaty of Versailles.

Ultimately, America and Britain (as much as they whine) won the war, and had no interest in anything less than the relegation of Germany to a satrap, which led them to fight so hard against what awaited them if they lost, and the Americans and British were ready and willing to sacrifice any number of Frenchmen to better establish their hegemony.

the "Stab in the Back" was not a singular event that happened in 1918 and I'm actually surprised some people don't get the metaphor. The "stab in the back" is the idea that the jewish population of germany actively sabotaged the war effort in favor of the global jewish elite and bankers. Most of it is post war fiction and dramatisation but some of it was based on personal experiences during the war.(Many jews weren't willing to die for their country for example, though that isn't exclusively true for jews)

It is more obvious when you look at other factors that were considered a "stab in the back" All beligerents except the US perhaps suffered sabotage by communists and other groups to their war economy, but AH, which was also stricken with nationalist trouble was sabotaged more than all the other nations of ww1 combined(not counting civil war russia).
Italy demanding territory for neutrality and then joining the Entente in 1915 was also considered a Stab in the Back.


There was not one single Stab in the Back that defeated the Central Powers, but there were numerous jabs cuts that did their part in creating the situation you see in 1918

The fun part is that "stab in the back" wasn't even about Jews or the Spartacist uprising originally. It was about "November criminals" - social democratic government created by Ebert and Scheidemann (both were not Jews).

It was all over when the allies broke the Macedonian Front, it broke an essential continental railway link to the Ottomans, who were on the defence in Syria already, and it threatened Austria-Hungary with more trouble on it's doorstep. With the cracks in Austria-Hungary showing, it empowered the Poles, Czechs, and Hungarians to break away, which would eventually leave Germany's south-eastern border exposed. For Germans, it's more there was no defining loss on German soil that forced them to surrender, despite exhausting their military and homefront.

Another important thing to remember is that the Central Powers thought they were going to win when Russia/Soviet Union pulled out (3 of the 4 Central Powers had a front with Russia, thus freeing tons of men), but when it became clear that America was reinforcing the Western and Italian fronts and the T*rks would never defeat the British/French/Greeks, their hope turned to ash.

yes pretty much this, when Emperor Karl I of Austria began secret peace talks he was effectively couped by the German General staff and AH was even forced to conduct another offensive into Italy on it's own, which ended the AH army as a cohesive fighting force and opened the door for the disaster that wass Vittorio Veneto, where a large part of the army(mostly czechs) openly switched sides to the entente.
