Socially and for everyday life from the 50s to the 80s Tito was pretty great...but there is one glaring flaw. The entire comfy system was unsustainable, and completely built on debt that just kept piling up and up. The national debt increased SIX-fold from 1971 to 1980, and inflation was over 20% by 1980.

I'm not saying that his people didn't live better and weren't treated better than people in other communist countries, but fuck did he leave a bigger mess! Is there any other post-communist area that suffered a civil war in which hundreds of thousands died?
