I deconverted from Judeo-Christianity as a result of theological study and spent 10 years as an atheist and reconverted to Christo-Paganism as a result of observation.

I've never felt so much peace in my life...

Yes now I'm something more along the lines of perrenialism. All of religion has the same spiritual core (God, Brahman, th Absolute, whatever) accessible through deep meditative states and/or responsible entheogen use. Study mysticism, both east and west. Though the east gets to the point much more directly and easily in my opinion.

Sort of, I've lost faith in humanity and in life. To be precise not my life in particular but in all life, I don't see why any of us should exist. Every government is run by petty short sighted men, nothing stands on principle and the only desire is the betterment of you and yours.
